Meisho Samson makes Satsuki Sho - Derby double

Meisho Samson made Satsuki Sho - Derby double when he triumphed the Japanese Derby(g1) Sunday afternoon at Tokyo. Just like the Satsuki Sho(Japanese 2000 Guineas), Meisho Samson took a good position under the hand of Mamoru Ishibashi, and then produced a powerful stretch run for his second classic glory.
Admire Main got a neck short of winning the Derby in second place. Another 2-length away Dream Passport finished third with Maruka Shenck fourth and Logic fifth.
