Brief history of Japan Cup

The Japan Cup was inaugurated in 1981 as the first international race in Japan. Since then, it has been successfully run and become the most famous Japanese race in the world. There are a number of premier runners from Europe, North America and other areas to have taken part in this race.

Brief history of Japan Cup Dirt

Tokyo hosted the first international dirt event in 2000 when the inaugural Japan Cup Dirt was held at the revue. The Dirt race, one of the two JRA g1 dirt events(other is February Stakes), has since then attracted many top-class dirt runners including foreign invaders.
