Goshawk Ken goes all the way in Asahi Hai Futurity S


Goshawk Ken(USA) made all the running to win the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes for 2-year-olds Sunday afternoon at Nakayama. Masaki Katsuura steered the winner, completing the 1,600-meter trip in 1 minute 33.50 seconds on firm ground. Second, a 2 1/2-length behind, was Let's Go Kirishima with Captain Thule another neck back third.

Goshawk Ken, a Bernstein colt out of the Grand Slam mare Allthewaybaby, has now won 2 in 3 starts for trainer M.Saito and owner Y.Fujita. His earnings improved to more than 72 million yen. Four Horsemen's Ranch in US is the breeder of the dark bay colt.

    Hi,

    I worked with A Shin Forward when he was a yearling in the USA. I was wondering if you knew what happened, why he ran poorly in this race. He seemed to be doing well, just wanted to know if something had happened. Any information would be great!
