2011 Arima Kinen
Sunday, December 25, 2011 sees the Arima Kinen(known as the Grand Prix race) with a strong field of 14 horses at Nakayama Racecourse. The Arima is the biggest finale race of the season.
Buena Vista, the most popular horse, will make a final run in the Arima Kinen where she finished second in the last two years. The Japan Cup heroine will break from post 1.
Victoire Pisa finished a disappointing 13th in the Japan Cup. The Dubai World Cup winner attempts to bounce back from the undesired result.
Orfevre dominated the 3yo classic races and became the 7th Triple Crown winner in JRA history. He faces the older grade one company for the first time.
Tosen Jordan, winner of the Tenno Sho Autumn who finished second in the Japan Cup behind Beuna Vista, could make a big run.
