Kizuna storms home in Sankei Osaka

Kizuna stormed home at Hanshin on Sunday to win the grade two Sankei Osaka Hai. The 4-year-old Deep Impact colt completed the 2,000-meter trip in 2 minutes 0.30 seconds under Yutaka Take. Tokai Paradise finished a 1 1/2-length back in second followed by race favorite Epiphaneia another neck back third.

Kizuna race the last as the field of 8 runners turned on the final bend, but he showed a sensational run through the finish line. Take said, "The colt showed  an excellent stretch run as usual. He got off a good start of the season."

The Tenno Sho Spring will be the next action for Kizuna, while Epiphaneia will go for the QE II Cup in Hong Kong.
