Asia Express to switch back to dirt

Asia Express switches back to dirt when he goes for the Unicorn Stakes, a grade three dirt race, to be run on Sunday at Tokyo. He raced on the turf in his last three starts with his big triumph coming in the grade one Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes last December, but his trainer Tezuka likely decided to run him on dirt. "He is a better horse on dirt.",  Tezuka said on the recent interview. The US-bred colt was two for two on the dirt surface. Before the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes, he won his debut race on dirt by a 5-length and followed up with a 7-length victory in the Oxalis Sho on dirt.
