Japan sends three to Arc de Triomphe

Three JRA horses are scheduled to run in the 2014 Arc de Triomphe on Sunday as follows:

GOLD SHIP(Stay Gold - Point Flag, by Mejiro McQueen) 5h gray
multiple grade one winner at JRA; temperamental behavior caused him to perform ups and downs in the past; prefers soft ground and could produce a good result if he is in a good mood on the Arc day.

JUST A WAY(Heart's Cry - Sibyl, by Wild Again) 5h bay
top ranked horse and one of the most famous Japaneses horses in the world after winning the Dubai race last March; prefers firm ground; more than 3-month off the course could be negative; the Arc distance is a bit longer than his best, but his late surge is dangerous.

HARP STAR(Deep Impact - Historic Star, by Falbrav) 3f bay
the best 3-year-old filly in Japan; the big test for her to face the world class horses for the first time; weight allowance is a big help and no surprise that she produces a strong finish at Longchamp turf.
