Moanin(USA) takes Negishi S


Race favorite Moanin(USA) took a commanding run in the stretch to win the grade three Negishi Stakes at Tokyo Sunday.
Keita Tosaki rode the winner, covering the 1,400-meter distance in 1 minute 22.00 seconds on dirt surface.
A 1/2-length behind, Tahltan(USA) took second place with Grape Brandy finishing another 1 3/4-length back in third.
Moanin, bred in USA by Empire Equines, LLC, is a 4-year-old chestnut colt by Henny Hughes out of Giggy, by Distorted Humor.

Dance Director claims victory in Silk Road S
Dance Director, ridden by Suguru Hamanaka, showed a strong finish, winning the grade three Silk Road Stakes at Kyoto Sunday.
The final time for the 1,200-meter turf race was 1 minute 7.90 seconds.
Laurel Veloce came second, a 1 1/2-length behind, with another 1 1/2-length away Wakino Brace third.
Dance Director is a 6-year-old bay horse by Aldebaran out of Mother Leaf, by Sunday Silence.

Thrilling finish in Kawasaki Kinen


The NAR grade one Kawasaki Kinen was won in a thrilling finish at Kawasaki track by Hokko Tarumae, who denied challenge by rival Sound True.
Hideaki Miyuki's ridden Hokko Tarurame stopped the clock in 2 minutes 14.10 seconds for the final time over 2,100 meters on dirt.
A head behind, Sound True was second with another 4-length back Amour Briller(USA) third and Meiner Baika fourth.
Hokko Tarumae, a 7-year-old horse by King Kamehameha out of the Cherokee Run mare Madam Cherokee, has now won the Kawasaki Kinen for three consecutive years. His grade one victories extended to 10.

Decipher takes American JCC


Second favorite Decipher drew away from the rest at 200 meters from home to win the grade two American Jockey Club Cup at Nakayama Racecourse Sunday.
Yutaka Take rode the winner with the final time of 2 minutes 12.00 seconds over 2,200 meters on firm ground.
A 1 1/4-length behind, Super Moon finished second with Shonan Bach another neck away third.
Decipher is a 7-year-old bay horse by Deep Impact out of Mizna, by Dubai Millemium.


Asuka Roman wins Tokai S
Asuka Roman won the grade two Tokai Stakes under Keisuke Dazai in 1 minute 51.90 seconds at Chukyo Racecourse Sunday.
Before a 2-length victory, he chased the pace by Monde Classe, who finished second. Race favorite Roi Jardin finished third, another 3 1/2-length behind.
Asuka Roman is a 5-year-old chestnut horse by Agnes Digital out of Asuka Himiko, by Tabsasco Cat.

Reve Mistral comes from far behind to win Nikkei Shinshun Hai


Reve Mistral came from last to first in a smashing surge at Kyoto when he won the grade two Nikkei Shinshun Hai. Yuga Kawada was aboard the winner to cover the 2,400-meter trip in 2 minutes 25.90 on firm ground.
A 2-length behind, Cheval Grand came second with another nose back Satono Noblesse third.
Reve Mistral is a 4-year-old bay colt by King Kamehameha out of Reve d'Oscar, by Highest Honor.

Prophet wins Keisei Hai
Prophet took a good position to win the grade three Keisei Hai for 3-year-olds at Nakayama Sunday.
Shane Foley rode the winning colt to complete the 2,000-meter distance in 2 minutes 1.40 seconds.
A 1 1/4-length behind, Quelle Freude finished second with Maitres d'Art finishing another neck back in third.
Prophet is a 3-year-old bay colt by Harbinger out of Jumean, by Tanino Gimlet.

Bounce Shasse rallies in Aichi Hai


8th favorite Bounce Shasse came from far behind to win the grade three Aichi Hai in 1 minute 58.80 seconds on the Chukyo 2,000-meter course. The winning jockey was Hironobu Tanabe.
A 1 1/4-length behind, Lethal Weapon was second with another head back Earthrise third.
Bounce Shasse is a 5-year-old bay mare by Zenno Rob Roy out of Rich Dancer, by Halling.

13 horses have been nominated to the Nikkei Shinshun Hai for 4yo+ on Sunday. The grade two 2,400-meter race will run at Kyoto Racecourse on turf.

Nakayama Racecourse hosts the Keisai Hai for 3yo on Sunday. 17 horses are in the final nomination list of the grade three2,000-meter turf race.

On Saturday, the grade three Aichi Hai for 4yo+ f&m with a total of 21 horses nominations will be run at Chukyo Racecourse on turf.

B B Barrel leads all the way in Fairy S


Third favorite B B Barrel led all the way to win the grade three Fairy Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on Monday at Nakayama Racecourse.
Syu Ishibashi was aboard the winner with the final time of 1 minute 34.30 seconds over 1,600 meters on turf.
A 1 3/4-length behind, Daiwa Dresser was second with another 3/4-length back Daiwa Duchess third.

Shinzan Kinen result


Logi Cry took a good position to win the grade three Shinzan Kinen under Suguru Hamanaka. The final time for the 1,600-meter distance on firm ground was 1 minute 34.10 seconds.
Jeweler made up a lot of grounds down the stretch to finish second, a neck behind. Third place was, another neck behind, Shigerunokogirizame, who led the field of 18 from start.
Logi Cry is a 3-year-old dark bay colt by Heart's Cry out of the Machiavellian mare Dream Moment.

Yamakatsu Ace gains Nakayama Kimpai victory


Yamakatsu Ace produced a superb turn of foot to gain victory of the grade three Nakayama Kimpai on Tuesday afternoon at Nakayama.
Kenichi Ikezoe rode the winner, covering the 2,000-meter turf trip in 2 minutes 1.20 seconds.
A 3/4-length behind, Meiner Frost finished second with another 3/4-length back Fluky third.
Yamakatsu Ace is a 4-year-old chestnut colt by King Kamehameha out of the Grass Wonder mare Yamakatsu Marilyn.

Win Primera took a good position to win the grade three Kyoto Kimpai at Kyoto Racecourse on Tuesday afternoon.
The 6-year-old dark bay mare completed the 1,600-meter distance under Yuga Kawada in 1 minute 33 seconds on firm ground.
T M Taiho came second place, a 1/2-length behind, with Mikki Love Son another 1 1/2-length back third.

Nakayama's main event on the opening day will be the grade three Nakayama Kimpai for 4yo+. 
Kyoto hosts the grade three Kyoto Kimpai for 4yo+.

Kimpai means Gold Cup in English.
