16 entries for 2016 February Stakes


A total of 16 horses have been entered to the grade one February Stakes to be run on Sunday at Tokyo Race Course.

Nonkono Yume(post 7)
sensational closer, who finished a promising second in the grade one Champions Cup last outing; may be seen him coming from far behind at his favorite course.
Moanin(USA)(post 14)
winner of 5 for 6 starts; won the Negishi Stakes last time out; could take a good position and finish strongly at the late stage.
Copano Rickey(post 3)
strong front-runner, who is bidding for his third straight victory of this contest; could achieve a big feat if he can run his race.
Best Warrior(USA)(post5)
third in this event last season; has mainly raced in the NAR circuit with third in the JBS Sprint last outing; could show better form at his best trip.
White Fugue(post 2)
runs regulary at NAR coming off a couple of victories; The 1,600-meter trip may be a bit shorter than her best; faces the top male runners for the first time.
Asukano Roman(post 4)
winner of the Tokai Stakes; could run behind the leading pack in his first grade one race; his first appearance at Tokyo.
Roi Jardin(post 6)
good third finish in the Tokai Stakes; runs shorter than 1,700 meters for the first time.
Sudan Joy(post 11)
front runner; showed a tip-top form at the lower level with four victories in a row; a huge step up in class to meet the top runners.
