Return of Duramente is great success in Nakayama

Last year's dual classic winner Duramente returned to the course after 9-month layoff with victory of the grade two Nakayama Kinen Sunday.
The favorite drew away from the rest at the middle of the stretch en route to winning by a neck from Ambitious, who came flying late. Another 1/2-length behind, Real Steel was third place. Mirco Demuro was aboard the winner to complete the 1,800-meter in 1 minute 45.90 seconds on firm ground.
Duramente is a 3-year-old bay colt by King Kamehameha out of Admire Groove, by Sunday Silence.

Mikki Isle leads all the way in Hankyu Hai
Race favorite Mikki Isle led all the way to win the grade three 1,400-meter Hankyu Hai in 1 minute 19.90 seconds under Kohei Matsuyama. A 3/4-length behind, Omega 
Vendetta was second with Bravissimo another neck away third.
Mikki Isle is a 5-year-old bay horse by Deep Impact out of Star Isle, by Rock of Gibraltar.
