Twinkle takes marathon race

Fourth favorite Twinkle took a lead before entering the final stretch, winning the grade three Diamond Stakes at Tokyo on soft ground Saturday.
Masaki Katsuura rode the winner to stop the clock in 3 minutes 37.80 seconds for the final time of the 3,400-meter trip.
A 4-length behind, Fame Game finished second place with Fata Morgana finishing another 5-length further back in third place.
Twinkle is a 5-year-old chestnut horse by Stay Gold out of Long Stardom, by Northern Taste.

Queens Ring triumphs Kyoto Himba S
Queens Ring showed a great acceleration down the stretch to win the Kyoto Himba Stakes under Mirco Demuro in 1 minute 22.90 seconds at Kyoto on soft ground Saturday.
Magic Time finished a neck behind the winner in second. Another 1 1/2-length back, Win Primera took third.
Queens Ring is a 4-year-old dark bay filly by Manhattan Cafe out of Aqua Ring, by Anabaa.
