Straight Girl gains second Victoria Mile win

Straight Girl with Keita Tosaki aboard won the Victoria Mile for two consecutive years at Tokyo on Sunday. She pulled away from the rest outside 200 meters from home to win the grade one 1,600-meter race in 1 minute 31.50 seconds on firm ground. 
A 2 1/2-length behind, Mikki Queen came second with Shonan Pandora another nose back third.
Trained by H. Fujiwara and owned by Hirosaki Toshihiro HD Co. Ltd., Straight Girl has now won 11 of her 31 races with more than 370 million jpn yen in career earnings.
Okamoto Farm was the breeder of Straight Girl, a 7-year-old bay mare by Fuji Kiseki out of Never Period, by Taiki Shuttle.
