Blanc Bonheur late charge in Keeneland C


Blanc Bonheur just got up in the nick of time to win the grade three Keeneland Cup at Sapporo. She won it by a 1/2-length from Shuji, who led the field from start. Let's Go Donki finished third, a 1/2-length behind of Shuji.
Keita Tosaki rode the winner to run in the 1,200-meter trip in 1 minute 8.50 seconds.
Blanc Bonheur is a 3-year-old filly by Deep Impact out of Le Sucre, by Sakura Bakushin O.

Vous Etes Jolie wins Niigata Nisai S
Having run off the pace, Vous Etes Jolie showed an excellent late run to win the grade three Niigata Nisai Stakes for 2-year-olds at Niigata. A 1 1/4-length behind, Over Spec was second with another neck back Ibuki third. Bous Etes Jolie covered the 1,600-meter race in 1 minute 34.30 seconds under Yuichi Fukunaga.
Vous Etes Jolie is a 2-year-old filly by Lohengrin out of French Bikini, by Sunday Silence.

Neorealism leads all the way in Sapporo Kinen


Neorealism led the field of 16 and went all the way to win the grade two Sapporo Kinen in the rainy Sapporo course. A 2-length behind, favorite Maurice finished second with Rainbow Line another neck back third. Christophe Lemaire steered the winner to cover the 2,000-meter distance in 2 minutes 1.70 seconds.
Neorealism is a 5-year-old horse by Neo Universe out of Tokio Reality, by Meadowlake.

Bakushin Teio superb late run in Kitakyushu Kinen


Bakushin Teio displayed a superb turn of foot in the very final stage to win the grade three Kitakyushu Kinen at Kokura. Race favorite Bel Canto finished second, a length behind. Another length back, Ono Michi finished third. Ridden by Kota Fujita, Bakushin Teio completed the 1,200-meter trip in 1 minute 8.50 seconds on firm ground.
Bakushin Teio is a 7-year-old horse by Sakura Bakushin O out of the Sunday Silence mare Out of the Whim.

Maurice tops field of 2016 Sapporo Kinen


Champion miler Maurice faces the 15 rivals as he runs in the grade two Sapporo Kinen at Sapporo on Sunday. He has exclusively run in the mile race last season. It will be the first time for him to run beyond 2,000 meters since May 2014 when he finished seventh in the grade two Kyoto Shimbun Hai.
The main opponents to Maurice will be Nuovo Record and Yamakatsu Ace.

Graceful Leap leads field to win Summer Champion


Futoshi Komaki-steered Graceful Leap was never behind in the 1,400-meter trip to win the NAR grade three Summer Champion in 1 minute 25.70 seconds at Saga track Thursday.
A 4-length behind, Wonder Coroar was second with another 3/4-length back Tagano Tonnerre third.
Trained at JRA Ritto by S. Hashiguchi, Graceful Leap is a 6-year-old chestnut horse by Gold Allure out of Rabbit Foot, by Seeking the Gold.

Danon Legend(USA) takes Cluster Cup


Mirco Demuro-piloted Danon Legend(USA), running side-by-side with Love Bullet, drew away from the rest in the stretch to win the NAR grade three Cluster Cup in two consecutive years at Morioka on Tuesday afternoon. He won it the 1,200-meter race in 1 minute 9.10 seconds on fast track. A 2-length behind, Bulldog Bass was second with another 4-length back Love Bullet third.
Danon Legend is a 6-year-old dark bay horse by Macho Uno out of My Goodness, by Storm Cat.

Amour Briller romps Breeders' Gold Cup


Amour Briller(USA), a half sister to Lani, took a lead entering the stretch to win the NAR grade three Breeders' Gold Cup at Mombetsu in two consecutive years on Thursday night.
She won it by a decisive 7-length from Tiny Dancer, who finished a 1 1/2-length before B B Barrel in second. Suguru Hamanaka steered the winner to travel the 2,000-meter trip in 2 minutes 8.70 seconds.
Amour Briller is a 5-year-old bay mare by Smart Strike out of Heavenly Romance, by Sunday Silence.

Result of JRA Graded Races on Aug. 07


Glanzend got past K T Brave near the line to win the grade three Leopard Stakes at Niigata. The two separated by a neck. Regalo finished a 2-length behind K T Brave in third.
Ridden by Keita Tosaki, Glanzend covered the 1,800-meter distance in 1 minute 56.60 seconds on fast track.
Glanzend is a 3-year-old bay colt by Neo Universe out of Bochinche, by Kingmambo.

11th favorite Crans Montana stalked the pace to win the grade three Kokura Kinen at Kokura. He won it by a neck from Beruf, who finished a 1/2-length before Extra End in second.
Ryuji Wada steered the winner to cover the 2,000-meter handicap racein 2 minutes flat on firm ground.
