Red Falx sensational late charge in Sprinters Stakes

Third favorite Red Falx just got up in the nick of time to win the grade one Sprinters Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse Sunday. Mikkin Isle, who led the field from start, finished second, a head behind. Another neck behind, Solveig was third place. Heavy favorite Big Arthur failed to find a clear run in the stretch to finish 12th.
Mirco Demuro was aboard the winner to cover the 1,200-meter distance in 1 minute 7.60 seconds on firm ground.
Red Falx, trained by T.Ozeki and owned by TokyoHorseRacing, has now won eight of his 18 races with more than 245 million jpn yen in career earnings.

Bred by Shadai Farm, Red Falx is a 5-year-old grey horse by Swept Overboard out of Vermouth, by Sunday Silence.
