Queens Ring late surge in QE II Cup

On November 13 at Kyoto, the Queen Elizabeth II Cup saw the premier race for female runners when Queens Ring was victory in a storming style. 
200 meters to go, Sing with Joy drew away from her rivals, but Queens Ring crept inch by inch with a tremendous speed and she just got up in time to win the grade one 2,200-meter race under Mirco Demuro in 2 minutes 12.90 seconds. A neck behind, Sing with Joy was second with Mikki Queen, another 1 1/4-length away, third.
Trained by K.Yoshimura and owned by C.Yoshida, Queens Ring has now won six of her 13 races with more than 321 million jpn  yen in career earnings. Shadai Farm was the breeder of the 4-year-old dark bay filly, by Manhattan Cafe out of Aqua Ring, by Anabaa.
