Stage set for 2016 Arima Kinen

A stage is set for the Arima Kinen, the biggest finale race of the season, to be run on Sunday at Nakayama.

Kitasan Black, strong front running horse, has greatly performed this season with a couple of g1 scores. His sensational victory in the Japan Cup four week ago is the latest effort. He drew post 1 and could get another big run this Sunday.
Satono Diamond, one of the best 3-year-old colts, who gained a great victory in the Kikuka Sho(Japanese St.Leger) last outing, faces the older horses for the first time. It will be interesting how he runs against the top older company. He drew post 11.
Gold Actor, winner of this premier race last term, finished fourth in the Japan Cup. He breaks from post 2 to defend the title.
Sounds of Earth, second in the Japan Cup, who came close to win a grade one race in the three occasions. He drew post 6.
Cheval Grand, third in the Japan Cup, has run well at the highest level. He drew post 14.
