Field set for grade one Osaka Hai


A field has been drawn for the Osaka Hai to be run on Sunday, April 2 at Hanshin Racecourse.

Kitasan Black, awarded The Horse Of Year, won a couple of grade one races, the Tenno Sho Spring and the Japan Cup, in 2016. The 5-year-old horse, making his first start of the season, drew post 5.
2016 Japanese Derby winner Makahiki, who finished third in the Kyoto Kinen last month, is likely to show much better run this time. He drew post 14.
Hong Kong grade one winner Satono Crown got off to a great start of the season as he gained a 1 1/4-length victory in the Kyoto Kinen. He drew post 7.
Ambitious, winner of this event last year, coming off fourth in the Nakayama Kinen, drew post 12.
Kinko Sho winner Yamakatsu Ace, making a bid for the biggest win in his career, drew post 13.
