Nikkei Sho on Saturday


The grade two Nikkei Sho for 4-year-olds and upwards will be run on Saturday at Nakayama Racecourse.

Having finished a narrow third in the g1 Arima Kinen last time out, grade one winner Gold Actor returns to his favorite course. This horse won this event last season. Sciacchetra, a lightly race colt who finished a narrow second in the Nikkei Shinshun Hai, makes the first appearance on the Nakayama course to bid for a first grade success. Rainbow Line and the 2016 Satsuki Sho(Japanese 2000 guineas) winner Dee Majesty had placed sixth and 13th, respectively, in the Japan Cup.
