Star rises in Takamatsunomiya


Seiun Kosei became the best sprinter in the country as he won the Takamatsunomiya Kinen under Hideaki Miyuki in the muddy Chukyo Racecourse on Sunday.
Miyuki settled Seiun Kosei down behind the leading pack before getting flied on the outside in the closing stage. He won the grade one 1,200-meter race in 1 minute 8.70 seconds.
Second was, a 1 1/4-length behind, Let's Go Donki with Red Falx, another neck behind, third.
Seiun Kosei, who has now won six of his 15 races with more than 196 million jpn yen, has raced under the color of S. Nishiyama and the condition of H. Uehara.
Sakurai Farm was the breeder of Seiun Kosei, a 4-year-old chestnut colt by Admire Moon out of Observant, by Capote.
