Yamakatsu Ace finishes strongly in Konko Sho

Race favorite Yamakatsu Ace finished strongly at Chukyo Racecourse on Saturday to win the grade two Kinko Sho for two consecutive years. The 5-year-old horse won it by a 1 1/4-length from Lord Vent d'Or, who finished a nose before third-placed Suzuka Devious.
The final time for the 2,000-meer turf distance was 1 minute 59.20 seconds. The winning jockey was Kenichi Ikezoe.
Yamakatsu Ace is a chestnut horse by King Kamahameha out of Yamakatsu Marilyn, by Grass Wonder.
