Hanshin Himba S won by favorite

The SankeiSports Hai Hanshin Himba Stakes for fillies and mares was won at Hanshin Racecoruse Saturday afternoon by Mikki Queen, who defeated Admire Lead by a 1 3/4-length with Jour Polaire a neck away third.
Suguru Hamanaka kept Mikki Queen in the mid-field before moving up smoothly. She just finished very fast as he called her for her final effort. The 1,600-meter grade two race was run in 1 minute 34.30 seconds on good ground.
Mikki Queen is a 5-year-old bay mare by Deep Impact out of Musical Way, by Gold Away.

Outsider takes New Zealand Trophy
Jo Strictly, the 51.1 12th favorite, won the grade two New Zealand Trophy for 3-year-olds on Saturday at Nakayama Racecourse.
Running behind the leading pack, Andrasch Starke took Jo Strictly to run on the rail down the stretch, and outclassed her rivals. A 1 1/4-length behind, Mayson Junior came second with Bom Servico third, another nose behind.
Jo Strictly is a 3-year-old bay colt by Jo Cappucchino out of Jo Aromat, by King Halo.
