Logi Chalice victory in Lord Derby Challenge Trophy


Logi Chalice, ridden by Hiroyuki Uchida, went with the pace at second place and went on to win the grade three Lord Derby Challenge Trophy at Nakayama on Saturday.
He won it by a 1/2-length from Champbell Junior(AUS), with Grand Silk, another nose away, third.
Logi Chalice's winning time for the 1,600-meter distance on turf was 1 minute 34.70 seconds.
Logi Chalice, who has now gained the sixth victory of his 16 races, is a 5-year-old chestnut horse by Daiwa Major out of Platina Chalice, by Rock of Gibraltar.
