Aerolithe finishes strongly in NHK Mile C


For the fifth time, a filly won the grade one NHK Mile Cup at Tokyo Racecourse Sunday when Aerolithe, ridden by Norihiro Yokoyama and trained by T.Kikuzawa, beat Rieno Tesoro(USA) by a 1 1/2-length. Bom Servico was third, another 2 1/2-length back.
Aerolithe broke well, and Yokoyama pulled her back to take a good position, while Bom Servico made the running.
At about 200 meters remaining, Aerolithe got past Bom Servico to take a lead, and was going well to the winning post in 1 minute 32.30 seconds on firm ground.
In the color of Sunday Racing Co.Ltd., Aerolithe has now won twice of her six races with more than 137 million jpn yen in career earnings.
Northern Racing was the breeder of Aerolithe, a 3-year-old grey filly by Kurofune out of Asterix, by Neo Universe.
