Platinum Bullet thrilling victory in Kyoto Shimbun

In the hands of Suguru Hamanaka, Platinum Bullet got up in the nick of time to win a thrilling Kyoto Shimbun Hai victory at Kyoto Racecourse. Second was, a head behind, Satono Chronicle with another neck away Danon Distance third. The race was run in 2 minutes 15.20 seconds over 2,200 meters on turf.
Platinum Bullet is a 3-year-old grey colt by Manhattan Cafe out of Snow Style, by White Muzzle.

Daiwa Cagney wins Principal S
At about 200 meters to go, Daiwa Cagney drew away to win the Principal Stakes, one of the major preps for the Japanese Derby, at Tokyo on Saturday. Red Roses was second, a 2 1/2-length behind. Another 3/4-length behind, Lord Alberta was thrid place. Hiroshi Kitamura rode the winner to complete the 2,000-meter distance in 1 minute 58.30 seconds on firm ground.
Daiwa Cagney is a 3-year-old dark bay colt by King Kamehameha out of Triplex, by Sunday Silence.
