Stage set for 2017 Japanese Derby

A stage is set to run in the Japanese Derby(Tokyo Yushun) at Tokyo Racecourse on Sunday, May 28.

Admirable(4-3-0-0) gave public very impression when winning the g2 Aoba Sho in storming fashion. Reproduction of his Aoba Sho run at the same course and distance is expected.
Al Ain(5-4-0-0) gained a brilliant victory in the Satsuki Sho(Japanese 2000 Guineas). This colt could hold a good position and follow with strong finish.
Cadenas(6-3-2-0), well-beaten in the Satsuki Sho, bids for bouncing back at his favored venue.
Daiwa Cagney(4-3-0-0) is strong front-running winner of the Principal Stakes.
Persian Knight(6-3-2-1), who sneaked on the inside to finish second in the Satsuki Sho, could get another big run.
Rey de Oro(4-3-0-0) came off a 4-month layoff in the Satsuki Sho where he finished a good fifth. Much better run could be produced.
Satono Arthur(4-2-2-0), runner-ups in the grade races last two outing, skipped the Satsuki Sho to focus on this big event. 
Suave Richard(5-2-2-0), sixth in the Satsuki Sho, is capable of blowing a strong finish at his favorite course.
