Field of 2018 Oka Sho(Japanese 1000 Guineas)


The Oka Sho(Japanese 1000 Guineas) will be run on Sunday, April 8 at Hanshin Racecourse.
Lucky Lilac, who has yet to finish behind in four starts, could top among the 18 entries for the first filly classic. The last time on the course, she toyed with her rivals when winning the Tulip Sho by a 2-length. Regular rider Shu Ishibashi will be aboard her to break from post 1.
Almond Eye, a sensational closer who beat boys when winning the Shinzan Kinen last January, drew post 13. Luly Noble and Mau Lea, who finished in the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies and Tulip Sho behind Lucky Lilac, drew post 9 and 17 respectively. Fillies' Revue winner Liberty Heights drew post 3. Anemone Stakes winner Harlem Line drew post 8.
