Field set for 2018 Japanese Oaks


A field of 18 horses is set to run in the 79th Japanese Oaks at Tokyo on Sunday, May 20.
Almond Eye, who showed a sensational finishing kick when winning the Oka Sho(Japanese 1000 Guineas) last outing, drew post 13. Lucky Lilac, whose first loss came at the Oka Sho in which she finished second, drew post 2. Grade two Flora Stakes winner Satono Walkure, who faces top filly company for the first time, had post 8. Lily Noble, having put her name on the board at the top level in several occasions, breaks from post 1. Mau Lea, fifth in the Oka Sho, drew post 3.
