Moonquake wins Keio Hai Spring C in record time

Moonquake came from behind to win the grade two Keio Hai Spring Cup in record time of 1:19.5 at the Tokyo 1,400 meters on turf. He finished a head ahead of Campbell Junior(AUS) with another nose back Satono Ares third. The winning rider was Christophe Lemaire.
Front runners Tosho Piste and Rhein Spirit hooked up in the early stage. That set up nicely for late runners Moonquake, Campbell Junior(AUS) and Satono Ares, who finished first three at the wire.
Moonquake, who has now won six of his 12 races, is a 5-year-old chestnut gelding by Admire Moon out of Rich Daucer, by Halling.
